According to the latest 2018 New Zealand census, 1152 residents of the country declared Ukraine to be the place of their birth, 672 inhabitants – Ukrainian by ethnicity.

June 15, 2007 the Ukrainian Association of New Zealand (North) was officially registered (https://www.facebook.com/Ukraine.NewZealand/?ref=br_rs). The current Chairman of the UANZ is Mr Taras Knysh.

In the capital of New Zealand in 2008 the Ukrainian Gromada of Wellington as officially registered  (https://www.facebook.com/Ukrainian-Gromada-of-Wellington-141045912609677/?ref=br_rs) .
The current Chairman of the Ukrainian Gromada of Wellington is Olga Vorobey.

Today Ukrainians in New Zealand are aware of the high importance of their Motherland and proud to represent New Zealand society.
