The Conference took place on 15-16 February 2013 under the joint auspices of the Mykola Zerov Centre for Ukrainian Studies at Monash University, the Ukrainian Studies Association of Australia and the Taras Shevchenko Scientific Society in Australia.

The Conference was participated by the largest contingent of international Ukrainian Studies specialists, in particular, from Ukrainian, Australian, Canadian, Italian and New Zealand Universities and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The participants made reports and discussed the evolution of identities of people in Ukraine and Ukrainians abroad.
