At the beginning of the meeting with AFU commanders, President Petro Poroshenko informed about tragic events in Brussels where several explosions rocked the international airport and a metro station.
“The world has changed dramatically. Ukraine and the world will not be able to get back to peaceful life for a long time,” he said.
The President also reminded that explosions had rocked the capital of Turkey, Ankara, the previous week.
Petro Poroshenko noted that he had signed a series of documents that define the main threats and tasks of the defense strategy of Ukraine, particularly the enhancement of defense capability of the state.
Earlier, the President expressed condolences to relatives of victims of the explosions in Brussels.
