On June 7, 2017, Holme Building USYD hosted the graduation ceremony for King's Own Institute students. King's Own Institute (KOI) is tertiary educational provider based in Sydney that offers diploma and degree courses in business.
The graduation ceremony was attended by current and future Ukrainian students, MP (NSW) John Roberts, Minister for Planning, Housing, Special Minister of State Leader of the NSW Legislative Assembly, and the first secretary of Embassy of Ukraine in Australia - Halyna Yusypiuk.
The management of the KOI told representative of the Embassy that Ukrainians are among the most successful students and are in a good standing with the college. Currently, there are twelve Ukrainian students studying at King's Own Institute and many more who has already graduated. The college has partnered with such in Ukraine and agricultural higher education providers in Ukraine and serves as a bridge to educational and scientific cooperation between countries.
Many of Ukrainian graduates successfully works in Australian companies and take an active part in the Ukrainian community life.
