Dear Ukrainians of Australia!
The end of 2017 is coming. This year was rich in outstanding events both in the life of the Embassy and in the life of the Ukrainian community in Australia.
We have been able to do a lot together - to revive the parliamentary friendship group, to achieve the preservation of Ukraine's support from Australia, by preserving sanctions and fixing the provision on the territorial integrity of Ukraine in the Australia’s Foreign Policy White Paper.
We managed to persuade the Australian government to increase its Australian diplomatic presence in Ukraine and expand the network of Ukrainian presence in Australia - thanks to the opening of the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Sydney.
You were close to the Embassy every time Ukraine needed your support and assistance. You wrote letters to government officials, you provided assistance in support of the Ukrainian army, you helped us spread the truth about events in Ukraine, promoted the presentation of cultural traditions and the organization expert discussions.
You did everything you used to do all these 70 years of Ukrainian settlement on the Green Continent.
But today, in times of confusion and pressure from external and internal enemies, your support and unity is extremely important.
Therefore, on the eve of major holidays, I would like to thank Australian Ukrainians for their support and help.
I am confident that in the New year we will be able to do even more for peace, development and prosperity of our native lands.
May God strengthen your love for your native lands, send health and strength, and inspire all generations of Ukrainians in Australia.
Let the New Year bring health and hope to every Ukrainian Australian family.
Happy New Year!
