From June 17, 2021 entry to Ukraine of foreigners and stateless persons is allowed upon the condition of presenting by the foreign travelers:
1) an insurance policy (certificate), issued by the insurance company, registered in Ukraine or foreign insurance company that has a representative office in the territory of Ukraine or contractual relations with insurance company-partner in the territory of Ukraine (assistance), and covers costs related to the treatment of COVID-19, observation and is valid during the period of stay of the person in Ukraine; as well as
2) one of the documents that confirm (except for the children under 12 years old):
- negative test result for COVID-19 with the method of polymerase chain reaction; or
- negative express-test for determination of coronavirus antigen SARS-CoV-2, conducted not earlier than 72 hours till the state border crossing; or
- receiving of the full course of vaccination from COVID-19 by the vaccines, included by the WHO into the list of those allowed for use in emergency situations, issued according to the International medical and sanitary rules (of 2005) or according to international treaties on mutual recognition of documents on vaccination, concluded by Ukraine.
At the same time the abovementioned requirements on presenting the insurance policy (certificate) and documents on the negative test result/undergoing the course of vaccination are not applicable to such categories of foreigners and stateless persons:
- foreigners, stateless persons who permanently live on the territory of Ukraine and persons who were recognized as refugees, or persons in need of the additional protection;
- employees of the diplomatic missions and consular posts of foreign states, representations of the official international missions, organizations, accredited to Ukraine, and members of their families;
- drivers and crew members of trucks, buses, conducting regular, irregular and pendulum transportation, crew members of aircrafts and sea and river vessels, members of train and locomotive brigades;
- military men (units) of the armed forces of the NATO member states and states participants in the NATO program “Partnership for peace” who take part in the measures on the preparation of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In case of absence of the mentioned policy (certificate) of insurance and negative test result for COVID-19 or document confirming receiving of the full course of vaccination from COVID-19, foreigners and stateless persons will be refused in crossing the state border for entry to Ukraine.
