Australian Federal Parliamentarians from all parties and both Houses of Parliament came together on 16 February 2023 with Ambassador Vasyl Myroshnychenko to stand in solidarity with Ukraine. This was the first time in history that the whole Australian Parliament gathered for a photograph and stand in solidarity for another country.

“It is a powerful message of support. Many thanks to the Australian people for standing strong with Ukraine and for admiring the courage of the Ukrainian soldiers fighting the Russian invaders. Ukraine must win to uphold the rules-based international system, respect for the UN Charter and confidence in collective security,” Vasyl Myroshnychenko said.
