On 27 February 2024, the Australian Parliament hosted a public screening of the documentary Bullet holes, produced in Ukraine by the Kyiv Independent media. The film presents a detailed investigation into Russia's systematic killing of children in Ukraine, based on the story of three children killed by Russian soldiers in 2022 in the Kyiv, Kharkiv and Kherson regions of Ukraine.
The event was organised by the Australia-Ukraine Parliamentary Friendship Group with the support of the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations and the Embassy of Ukraine in Australia.
The event was attended by Senator Catryna Bilyk, Chair of the Australia-Ukraine Parliamentary Friendship Group, her deputy Senator Linda Reynolds, and Co-Chairs of the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations Catherine Argyrou and Stefan Romaniw.
The screening was attended by a number of members of the Australian Parliament, local politicians and businessmen, as well as representatives of the Ukrainian community in Australia and the diplomatic corps.
