Ukraine participated in the World Chambers Congress 2025 in Melbourne, showcasing its economic resilience and investment potential. The involvement of the Ukrainian delegation and the Embassy helped advance partnerships between Ukrainian and Australian businesses.

Ukraine took part in the 14th World Chambers Congress (WCC) - one of the world’s largest and most influential global business forums - held in Melbourne, Australia from 2 to 4 September 2025.

A Ukrainian delegation led by Gennadiy Chyzhykov, President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, joined business and chamber leaders from around the world to promote Ukraine’s economic resilience and investment potential under the clear message: Ukraine is open for business.

Meeting at the Parliament of Victoria

On the eve of the Congress, members of the Ukrainian delegation met with representatives of the Government of Victoria at the Parliament of Victoria.

The meeting was joined by Deputy Premier Ben Carroll, MP Michael Galea, as well as representatives of the Ukrainian community and business networks in Australia.

The Ukrainian side was represented by:

  • Pavlo Troian, First Secretary (Economic), Embassy of Ukraine in Australia;
  • Kateryna Argyrou, Chair of the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO), Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Sydney;
  • Chrestyna Kmetj, Vice President of the Australia-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (AUCC) and AUCCI Representative in Australia;
  • Anna Golovchenko; President of the Australia-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (AUCC);
  • Ukrainian business leaders participating in the Congress including Mykhailo Bno-Airiian, Director, Public Relations International Company, MHP.

The discussion focused on strengthening economic cooperation between Ukraine and the State of Victoria, exploring opportunities for collaboration in trade, innovation, energy, and reconstruction projects, as well as reinforcing democratic solidarity in the face of Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine. Victorian representatives reaffirmed Australia’s support for Ukraine and condemned Russia’s illegal and unprovoked invasion.

Business Forum “Resilient Partnerships”

Within the framework of the Congress, the Australia-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of Ukraine hosted the business forum “Resilient Partnerships,” providing a platform for dialogue between Ukrainian and Australian businesses.

Pavlo Troian participated in the forum on behalf of the Embassy of Ukraine in Australia, reaffirming the Embassy’s strong support for initiatives aimed at deepening bilateral trade and investment ties.

The Embassy of Ukraine in Australia remains committed to facilitating business engagement, promoting Ukraine’s reconstruction priorities, and strengthening long-term economic partnerships between Ukraine and Australia.
