On 29 April 2026, Ambassador of Ukraine to Australia Vasyl Myroshnychenko met with Paul Erickson, National Secretary of the Australian Labor Party.

During the meeting, the parties discussed Ukraine’s current priorities, the importance of continued political and public support for Ukraine, as well as opportunities to further deepen Ukraine–Australia cooperation across a range of areas.

Ambassador Vasyl Myroshnychenko expressed gratitude for Australia’s steadfast support for Ukraine and thanked the Australian Labor Party for its solidarity with the Ukrainian people.

The parties also reaffirmed their shared interest in further strengthening the partnership between Ukraine and Australia.
