Embassy of Ukraine in Australia Opens Digital Book of Condolence for Victims of Russia’s Missile Strike on Pryluky
On 8 October 2026, the Embassy of Ukraine in Australia opened a digital Book of Condolence in memory of those killed in Russia’s attacks against Ukraine.
The initiative followed the Russian missile strike on a residential building in Pryluky, Chernihiv region, on 7 October, which killed 20 people, including five children. Oleksandr, Kyrylo and Serhii were just one year old; Maksym was eight. A 13-year-old girl was also killed. Another 55 people were injured, including seven children.
The Embassy invites members of the public, representatives of the diplomatic corps, organisations and friends of Ukraine to send messages of condolence and solidarity to [email protected] for inclusion in the digital Book of Condolence.
Russia’s continued attacks on Ukrainian cities and communities underline the urgent need for stronger international pressure on Russia and further defence support for Ukraine to protect its people.
We thank everyone who stands with Ukraine and honours the memory of those whose lives have been taken by Russia’s aggression.
