The Government of Ukraine has approved a draft law on the ratification of the Double Taxation Agreement with Australia, marking an important step towards its entry into force.

The Agreement, signed in October 2025, is aimed at eliminating double taxation, reducing tax barriers, and ensuring greater transparency for both businesses and individuals in Ukraine and Australia.

Once ratified, the Agreement will facilitate bilateral trade, encourage investment flows, and support deeper economic cooperation between the two countries. It will also create new opportunities for Australian companies to participate in Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction, while simplifying access for Ukrainian businesses to the Australian market.

The Embassy of Ukraine in Australia welcomes this development as a significant step forward in strengthening Ukraine–Australia economic relations.
