Ukraine continues to actively work on expanding the network of double taxation agreements with countries around the world to improve the investment climate and economic relations.
Ukrainian delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine Svitlana Vorobei took part in the negotiations on the conclusion of a double taxation agreement with the Government of Australia, which took place in Melbourne on October 8-11, 2024. The delegation also included Ambassador of Ukraine to Australia Vasyl Myroshnychenko.
Commenting on the negotiations, Svitlana Vorobei said: “The conclusion of such an Agreement will have significant benefits for both countries, in particular, it will avoid double taxation of income, which will stimulate investment, improve the business environment and promote the development of economic ties between the states.”
In his turn, Ambassador Myroshnychenko noted that once ratified, the agreement will facilitate investment, trade, technology and personnel exchange, which will become a solid foundation for Australian businesses to invest in the recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine after the war.
