In March 2026, Ambassador of Ukraine to Australia Vasyl Myroshnychenko held a series of high-level engagements with Australian parliamentarians, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation and reinforcing support for Ukraine.

During a meeting with Luke Gosling, the Ambassador had the opportunity to inspect the Module – Heavy Gun Ammunition (MHGA) system developed by ECLIPS Engineering. This advanced, modular solution for 155mm artillery operations demonstrates the evolution of modern defence logistics, offering flexible configurations, enhanced protection during transport, and compatibility with both current and future ammunition systems. Such innovations play a critical role in strengthening supply chain resilience and operational readiness, particularly in the context of Ukraine’s defence requirements.

The Ambassador also met with Raff Ciccone, Chair of the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security and Chair of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade. The discussion covered key aspects of the bilateral agenda, as well as the broader international security environment shaped by Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine and developments in the Middle East. Particular attention was given to the growing interconnectedness of global security challenges.

In addition, a meeting was held with James Paterson, Shadow Minister for Defence and Co-Chair of the Parliamentary Friends of Ukraine. The sides discussed opportunities to further strengthen Australia’s support for Ukraine, including in the areas of defence cooperation, sanctions policy, and engagement with Australia’s sovereign defence industry to address Ukraine’s evolving needs.

These engagements reaffirm the importance of sustained dialogue and practical cooperation between Ukraine and Australia in addressing shared security challenges and supporting Ukraine’s resilience.
