18 February 2025 07:52

First Secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine in Australia Pavlo Troian visited Murray Bridge to personally thank Australian veteran Ashley “Snoopy” Ralston, who has raised around AUD 30,000 in support of Ukraine through the sale of handmade traditional bows.

On 15 February 2025, First Secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine in Australia Pavlo Troian visited the city of Murray Bridge (South Australia) to personally thank Australian veteran Ashley “Snoopy” Ralston for his support of Ukraine.

Mr Ralston, a former serviceman, has been helping Ukraine for several years in an unusual yet highly symbolic way. He crafts traditional handmade bows and sells them at charity events, directing the proceeds to support Ukrainian soldiers and humanitarian initiatives.

Through this activity, he has managed to raise approximately 30,000 Australian dollars in support of Ukraine. Some of the bows he produced have also been donated for use in rehabilitation programmes for veterans and youth.

During the meeting, Pavlo Troian expressed sincere gratitude to Mr Relston for his solidarity with the Ukrainian people and for supporting Ukraine in its struggle for freedom and independence.

The Embassy of Ukraine highly appreciates the support that the Ukrainian people receive from the citizens of Australia during this difficult time.
