On 24 February 2026, Ukraine marks four years since the Russian Federation launched its full-scale invasion.
Over the past four years, the Ukrainian people have continued to defend their state, their freedom, and the fundamental principles of international law — sovereignty, territorial integrity, and democracy. This anniversary is both a solemn moment of remembrance and a reaffirmation of Ukraine’s resilience and determination.
On this occasion, Ukrainian communities across Australia’s capital cities will hold commemorative rallies and gatherings.
The Ambassador of Ukraine to Australia, Vasyl Myroshnychenko, will participate in the rally in Canberra and will also attend the evening gathering in Sydney on 24 February.
The Embassy of Ukraine in Australia encourages members of the Ukrainian community, Australian friends of Ukraine, and all those who stand in support of freedom and international law to join these events.

The Embassy expresses its sincere appreciation to the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations for coordinating the nationwide events and for its continued leadership in supporting Ukraine and the Ukrainian community in Australia.
The solidarity demonstrated by Australian society remains deeply valued by the people of Ukraine.
