On 7 May 2026, Ambassador of Ukraine to Australia Vasyl Myroshnychenko participated in a special screening of the documentary Can You Hear Me at the Parliament of New South Wales in Sydney.

The event brought together representatives of Australia’s political community, members of the Ukrainian community, and supporters of Ukraine. Among the attendees was Senator Deborah O’Neill, Co-Chair of the Federal Australia–Ukraine Parliamentary Friendship Group and Chair of the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade.

Following the screening, the audience took part in a discussion with the filmmakers, focusing on the consequences of Russia’s war against Ukraine and the challenges faced by Ukrainian journalists, military personnel, and civilians.

On the sidelines of the event, Ambassador Myroshnychenko met with Senator O’Neill to discuss current issues of Ukraine–Australia cooperation and Australia’s continued support for Ukraine.

During the evening, several Australians and members of the Ukrainian community were also recognised for their contribution to supporting Ukraine.
