On 7 May 2026, Ambassador of Ukraine to Australia Vasyl Myroshnychenko participated in the Summit on Strategic Risk Policy and Advanced Maritime Technology in Canberra, hosted by the Australian Risk Policy Institute and Subsea Craft and chaired by Rt Hon Dame Penny Mordaunt.
The Summit brought together representatives from government, defence, industry and policy communities to discuss strategic risk, emerging maritime technologies, and the future of security cooperation under AUKUS Pillar II.
During the discussion, Ambassador Myroshnychenko shared Ukraine’s perspective on modern warfare, hybrid threats, societal resilience, and the lessons democracies must learn in an era of rapid technological change and growing geopolitical uncertainty.
Ukraine’s experience in countering Russian aggression continues to demonstrate the importance of innovation, adaptability, and close cooperation among democratic partners in responding to evolving security challenges.
