The Embassy of Ukraine in Australia informs that, within the framework of the implementation of Ukraine’s state veterans policy, the Ministry for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine has approved the Calendar Plan of Sports Events for 2026.

The document has been developed pursuant to the instruction of the Prime Minister of Ukraine and aims to further strengthen the development of veterans’ sports, as well as to expand participation of war veterans in national and international sporting initiatives.

The Calendar Plan предусматриває a wide range of sporting events involving war veterans and is designed to:

• support the physical and psychological rehabilitation of veterans;
• engage a broad range of participants, including youth, students and civil society representatives;
• raise international awareness of the role of sport in recovery and reintegration of veterans.

The Embassy encourages partners, representatives of the Ukrainian community, and interested organisations to ознакомиться with the Calendar Plan and consider opportunities for cooperation in supporting veterans’ sports.
